Academic Programmes

At the school of Medicine and Health, we are happy to offer you two different ways to be a student on our master's programme in Biomedical Engineering and Informatics:

  1. degree student (four semesters M.Sc.)
  2. guest student (one or two semesters)
The educations of Aalborg University are characterized by problem oriented project work in accordance with the PBL Aalborg model. The model is internationally recognized and has through time, been met with great interest from universities, researchers and students from Denmark and abroad. UNESCO has placed its only Danish Chair at Aalborg University.
The study form is based on project work and is characterized by problem orientation, management by participants, group work, mutual feedback, interdisciplinarity and work with authentic problems.

The PBL Aalborg model provides students with the possibility to independently acquire knowledge and skills at a high professional level. Also, many students have the possibility to cooperate with the business world about solutions to specialist problems. And the learning model helps develop the students’ ability to teamwork and to working in a problem analytical and result oriented way.
The PBL Aalborg model is currently developed and adjusted to community and educational demands and changes.
